Digital Holograms: Binary Amplitude
The holographic lenses in original HoloSpex Glasses are binary amplitude digital computer generated holograms. Binary amplitude means that the holograms are composed of clear and opaque regions.

The digitally computed pattern of clear and opaque regions bend or "diffract" the light into the desired pattern. These binary amplitude patterns can also be used as masks to generate binary phase holograms.
